Did you just take out the 4". It looks shorter. Looks like the new trailers.
Have you seen what Jared did to his Scamp 19'? Converting to a real 5th wheel would also be a good option.
Steve , after cutting off the short downward piece , I just got some more 4" square tubing added to it to follow the slope of the hitch forward to the original height which made the ball hitch 4-5 inches further forward .
Well I got the other battery mounted on the side of the frame and hooked up . The hitch also got painted and new safty chains added . I finally got the two new escape hatches in and a new vent installed and ordered a new A/C cover . I will start working on beefing up the frame at the back of the trailer so I can put on a receiver hitch to pull a small trailer and atv .
Looking good. I really like the turned battery rack. On your rear to front shot it looks like a tight fit in the garage door. After modifying the hitch you might need a spotter when pulling out the garage.
Eddie
It was tight , I put a ball on the back of my tractor lift arms and raised the trailer jacks all the way . I lowered the front of the trailer to where the jacks just cleared the floor and backed it in , then once inside I raised the front back up . Since I heat my garage , I could work on it when ever I had time which makes the winter pass faster !
