It may sound funny but when we upgraded from our pop up to the Parkliner the thing we were saddest to see go were the bumper stickers on the back. Each one of those ugly laminate's represented a cherished family memory. In fact the picture you see above is hanging in our family room at home simply because it brings us joy every time we look at it.
The dilemma; how do we continue a family tradition without putting bumper stickers on our beautiful egg? My solution was to take hiking medallions and put them on our screen door.
It seems everywhere we go they have a medallion so our collection is sure to grow.

Ha, ha, ha! Looks great Sid. Good to share ideas around the Parkliner bunch. I was just looking around to see if I could find some multi-paks of 921 bulbs in LED...

You know something funny? For all the work I put into installing cable and a TV, we used it only once last year, and that was over the July 4th camping trip near Whiteface Mtn. in the Adirondacks when an unexpected storm moved in. I don't think it will get much use, but I think it's good to have.

I keep a portable dvd player in my ParkLiner, and usually carry my surface pro 2 with a dvd unit and watch a movie if the weather gets bad. I have been camping with friends several times that the sky opend up and it poured and everyone went to bed early...i work 2nd shift and don't normally go to bed till around 2am... so the movies help lol. I wouldn't install it permanently, but that is just me.

I think a DVD (or blu-ray player) is on the horizon for us. We've gone blu-ray at home.

How much use will it see? Not sure. My first inclination on a rainy night is to read but we did have a couple of Wisconsin nights last year when a movie would have been a good option.
I already had the TV/DVD combo in the house collecting dust (kids get married and move out). It's surprisingly light and 12 volt so in the camper it went. I just wanted it up and out of the way so we purchased the self latching mount online from Wally World.
We also switched from DVDs to Bluray in the house but it seems every one of those came with a DVD copy. Win win depending on your perspective.

That's us Sid - readers. Kindles!
I'm not really the TV/movie guy, that would be the wife. But you're correct - I think all the blu-rays she buys comes with a DVD!

Front end storage space
Ok, what do you think.....
We just returned from a 12 day trip and in all that time we used about 3/4 to 7/8th of one tank of LP. This was after about 6 nights of furnace use (28 to 37f at night), about 12 to 16 showers for the 3 of us, and some stove use.
That got me wondering if replacing one tank with a modified 5 gallon bucket with a lid would be a worthwhile? In addition to the reduced tongue weight I would gain external storage for things like wheel chocks, stinky slinky elbow, stabilizer jacks and my wood pellet fire logs (yes it does all fit).
Before I fork over $4 for a nicer looking bucket and add a lower adaptor to it for better fitment to the brackets I was wondering if I also needed to cap off the LP line. Has anyone done something similar?

Definitely cap off the spare line. If the switchover regulator whacks out you don't want to vent all your propane.

Sid, Did you try this mod? Looks like it would work well for us. Dual tanks are more than we need. -- Anne

Yes I have had it this way for 2 trips now and it seems to work. To be honest I'm not sure if I will keep it this way though. I am able to securly retain the tank and the bucket with the threaded crossbar , no wiggle in either and no loosening during the trip. It's just that the bucket, being the more pliable of the two, becomes the limiting factor in how much torque you apply. Just for my sence of well being I may also add a metal vertical arm from the bucket base to the crossbar height.
BTW, I did take Charlie's advice and caped off the unneeded line from the regulator.
We will see if this one remains.....

In some of the national parks we stayed at this year they frown on any type of clothes line strung up between the trees so when I saw this at Goodwill I thought I would give it a try. Often we have nothing more than a few dish rags and towels to dry so it should be ok for wet weight and size.
With the addition of some left over Hang-Trak from another project I have a nice non-scratch interface to the belly band when I need it. No deflection at all when weight is applied but I'm still not gonna do any chin-ups!

Until you run out of propane at 9pm, 30 miles up a dirt road. No furnace and no coffee in the morning.
I managed to run both tanks dry once.

Very cool idea Sid! How is the Hang track attached to the belly band - do you have a picture of just the belly band with the Hang track on it?
