Added An Outside Access Hatch

At the end of the camping season, we decided that one thing we would like to add to our Scamp 16 LO 7, was outside access underneath the rear dinette. our Scamp didn't come with a water tank, and we left the bed in place all of the time. That meant there was a lot of storage that we were unable to easily use. I also wanted to get more stuff out of the back of the car, especially the box of levelers, cords, water filter/hose and wheel chocks. We were able to find a place locally that customizes fiberglass boats, and it took them about two hours to cut and install this fabulous access hatch. I'm getting used to the look of it (my clean lines are gone ) but it's really nice to have camper things in the camper. We may put a smaller access hatch on the other side later on. This one is about 8.5x11 opening, 10.5x13.5 total.

A bigger hatch on the other side about where your's is and I am planning on adding a hatch for access to two golf cart batteries right behind the driver's side wheel, too

We did a similar mod, in the space at left rear corner. Used a cargo door from a Coleman Pop-Up Camper. Had rounded corners, with aluminum frame.
