Hi everyone, thanks in advance!
I'm in the process of completely renovating a 1981 16'
Scamp with my fiancé.
I've done a ton of research, and this forum has been truly invaluable. But I can't find what I'm looking for by searching.
Has anyone replaced the front and rear non-opening gasket
windows on their
Scamp with something else? Is this the only option that works with the curve of the shell?
We just replaced the subfloor that was completely rotted out from leaking
windows, and said leaking
windows are up next. But I'm feeling intimidated by dealing with those gaskets and plexi windows based on what I've been hearing, and I'm wondering if there's another option.
I'd prefer to do myself if possible - to spare the expense but also for the sake of learning to do something. I'm also not confident someone in my town of <10,000 could do a gasket window anyways.
Any ideas? Or are the gasket windows possible with some gusto?
