Some people want lots of closet hanging space and small shelves, some want big shelves and no hanging space, and wifey wants mostly shelves and SOME hanging space...so here is the latest version of the biggest shelf in the closet (about 24 inches off the floor.) Similar to the prototype unit Larry has at Blue Bonnet as far as the 90 degree bend that mounts to the stick for the
Casita door hinges, but wider and shaped to provide an open area between the doorway and the closet rod (one of us has short arms) as a place for longer items.
The blue tape is the edge of the doorway, where the LHC templates end. The shelf is extended across the closet towards the bathroom, but stops short of the wall 4 inches or so (the folded up piece of paper on the left represents the vent pipe in the closet) and follows the closet rod (shown) as a means of supporting the shelves using a vertical wall on the left end of the shelves hung from the closet rod, with a potential reinforcement, if needed, where the blue tape and closet rod intersect. 3/16 ABS plastic probably won't need that.
The forward side (nearest TV end) of the shelf will have a straight section in order to have another straight wall section for probably the lower 3 shelves to keep things from falling off the shelves and means giving up only an inch or less of closet space in that area, total lost volume of maybe half a football....
