Attaching the awning- Boler

I have a 13' Boler, it has a metal awning channel on the roof. Looks like a "C channel" . I also have an awning from a surf side. However t does NOT have a metal rod at the end that would attach to the Boler. It has a rope.

Does someone have a picture of how the awning attaches, or know the diameter of the rod that goes through the awning material and into the C channel.

Thanks

The rope goes into the 'C' channel and gets pulled through to the other end.

And there are 2 sizes, forget what they are. About 1/8" difference in diameter.

My Boler has the C-channel too, except my awning has a plastic piece that's sewn to the awning. Plastic piece slides into the channel to secure it to the trailer. It's actually surprisingly easy to do by myself. You can see where the aluminum has rubbed off on the plastic piece.

I'm looking at making an awning for our 76, 13' Boler. Do you know where I can ge the plastic piece slider for the awning?

Hi Mark welcome to FiberglassRV... we're glad you're here

You don't absolutely need to use a plastic piece.... you CAN use a piece of rope that slides inside the channel. Or you can sew the plastic (make sure it fits!) ... it's called the Welt... inside the fabric that fits inside the C channel flange. Check this out: Trailer Molding, Awning Rail, Marine Slide Tracks, Marine Welt - CSC (610) 767-7555 Serving USA and Canada online
