Your rebuild is looking awesome. I am just about to seal all my cracks in the roof of my beachcomber. Do you think that product would seal all the cracks or should I be doing the fiberglass repair first and then sealing it will this product? I fixed my sag almost exactly how you did yours.

The Beachcomber is looking great! What brand/type of paint did you use for the grass green and rv white?

Its will fix small cracks in the gel coat, but if the cracks are in the fiberglass i would do a full repair

Really appreciate all the detail and photos!
I am renovating a ‘79 beachcomber TM - gutted it.
1) How did you measure for the door supports? I need to replace mine and how did you attach them?
2) How did you attach the new 2x2 side “supports”
3) How did you measure for the ceiling supports and how did you attach them?

4)The floor inside right around my door is sagging - worn out fiberglass. Did you have this problem? How would you fix it?

I can help with the door support details.
In the latter years of production of the BC, the company made a design change to address door frame distortion. They began reinforcing both sides of the opening with a wrought iron brace. I have attached the original drawing of the braces with dimensions as well as an arrangement of the door frame area. Of course the brace need not be made of iron but could be wood or laminated ply.

Hi Joshua, you earlier gave me a lead on the paint you used and i have found a local source in Ontario. I do have a few questions if you dont mind.
Did you prime or base coat with anything before applying the ArmourShield? If so what product and how many coats?
How many coats of Armour Shield did you apply? How much product did you end up buying?
Did you paint the roof with the same product? Underside?
Did you clearcoat over the Armour Shield?
Is the Armour Shield thick requiring thinning in order to spray? If so, what did you thin with?

Hi Joshua, I want to thank you for sharing the great work you've done on your Beachcomber, especially the sagging ceiling fix. I'd never heard of these trailers before.

I'm in Ottawa and just picked up a '76 B-15 a few days ago and I've already gutted it back to the shell. Today the floor come up. Some nasty business in there. Fun stuff for this old guy.
