We're the proud new owners of our first boler!
It followed us home on Friday and so far we have gutted the whole inside of it and made plans to redo Everything!!!

We bought a 1978 boler1700
We'd love to hear feedback about our ideas or maybe something you tried that worked or didn't!

Our plan is to move the kitchen to the front of the trailer. Leave the bed but to make it a double instead of single, and raise it to the hight of the window then make drawers for storage under it. Move the table (cause the kitchen will be there!) to the spot where the kitchen comes stock. But make it collapsible to open the space and fold away for travel. Also instal a larger capacity fridge and move it to the front aswell. Leave the toilet in its spot, but upgrade it. And instal a more efficient, smaller furnace!
So lots to do but we've jumped in with both feet on this one. Can't wait!!

We do need to do a small bit of fiberglass repair but it's not any place hurting the integrity of our shell.

Watch your weight and balance carefully as you add and subtract. I'm guessing that fully loaded and ready to go that your rig will weigh about 2600-3000 lbs (See real world weights in the General Discussion Forum) meaning that you will want to plan on about 300 lbs tongue weight, again loaded.

BTW: What will you be towing with?

Awesome and welcome. I would make a Queen size bed in the back, you have the room. I have a Queen size bed and a L shaped front kitchen in a 13' Boler. Check out my photo album to see how far mine came along so far.

We have also just started a 1979 17 Boler restoration. Interior is removed down to the fiberglass floor pan. Body is off the frame and a couple of rust holes are there, but most of the frame is fine. Hoping to have the frame back under the body this weekend.

I'm guessing that's what we call a RAM-1500? Down in the lower provinces Chrysler Corp trucks are now called RAM's, Dodge anything's are passenger vehicles.

In any case, it looks like you are good to go with a RAM-1500.

Width is same as a Queen but length is the same as the width of the Boler. I bought new 4" memory foam and cut it to fit the area of the bed.
