British Racing Green Casita

Emmit A. asked me to post these pictures for him of his British Racing Green Casita.

I've seen them before ... and to be best of my knowledge, is the only "painted" Casita I've ever seen. I've seen painted Scamps, Bolers and Trilliums ... but only Emmit's green Casita.

As Emmit often says, "It's not easy being green."

No, wait a minute, that was Kermit ... not Emmit!

Love it!

That is definitely one cool *looking* trailer, but would probably NOT be so cool inside in July or August in TX or AZ-- or even PA. But I do love the color.

I agree, Robert. It is snappy looking.

I know the Boler folks have been painting their rigs to match various tow vehicles ... including hot rods ... for years.

I've seen lots of pictures ....

Hey, I gotta an idea!

If you know of a painted fiberglass rig ... post a picture of it!

Thanks Charles!!

I lost my last reply, durn it! I'll try again.
This Casita was once painted Gold to match the original owners car, then he trader for a green pickup and had the little trailer repainted to match. I am the third owner, but the second owner never used it at all. It was first owned by a (Now) retired policeman who moved to this area. In moving he lost the books for it. He later found them and hunted up the present owner (Me) and gave them to me.

Thanks for helping me Charles. That name "KERMIT" you mentioned, may be a good name for my little green melon. After all it does have "RIVITS" "RIVITS".

More later if I don't get kicked off again.

Should be here

:wave
I posted this drivel first in "How I Love Thee" thread but thought it should go here.

For me my little trailer serves as a time and space machine. I can get in there and go to any place I can think of or to any time I care to remember, and never leave the yard.
It is also an escape machine. When worries begin to pile up on me I can step in there and - like magic - I'm thirty years old again. I know it must sound silly to you younger folks, but it works for me.
I bought my first travel trailer fifty years ago this spring and it was an old trailer then, but I was proud of it. It cost me $125.00, on credit yet!. It was made of "Masonite". It was 16 feet long just as my casita is now. We lived in it first in Kansas then we (Myself, my wife and our baby daughter) lived in it on the Navajo Indian Reservation for one year.
When I learn how I'll post a picture of it on here, however it was not a fiberglass trailer.

Good for you, Emmit!

May I stop by and spend a few minutes in your time machine, please?

Cool Casita

Emmit- That is definitely the coolest Casita I have seen. I am only 43 but know what you mean about escape pods. I spend alot of time in the trailer at home......sleep there when the noisy neighbors start, or just go down to hang out and watch TV. With cable hooked up and my "surround sound" trailer theater system it's better than the apt!!!

Phil; It is unique. I think we are all kindred spirits. I sometimes I go in there just to be able to concentrate on my reading or writing, as my wife likes to have the radio on while she reads.

Robert: I bet you're right about the heat in the sun. But if I ever get a chance to go to New Mexico again, it will go too.

George; You may indeed spend a little time in there, but my rent is high - you must listen to one of my stories!!

Emmit

Hot or not, it is great looking rig. No doubt about it.

There is a couple, who are actors, whose Casita is called, as I remember, "Hams in Egg." If *you* were an actor you could call yours "Green Egg & Ham." Great name for a Seussmobile!
