Here are some bunkbeds I built last summer for my kids. The 7 year old on the top and the 18 month old in the crib down below. I put 2 posters in the bottom so it doesn't feel so much like a cave. One is on the end and one is on the bottom of the top bunk. The top bunk is set up so that I can replace the crib with the original bottom bunk and keep the top as is.
