Currently (no pun intended) it looks like there is a line directly from the exterior (shore hookup) jack to the "black box" on the back of my kitchen cabinet, with nothing going anywhere else. If this is indeed the case, is there any reason that my AC system doesn't just get to act like an extension cord so I plug in at the campsite and use the two outlets there on the black box as my wall sockets without being concerned about the rest of the trailer? Does anything else go on in that box other than to serve as a glorified (but localized) circuit breaker box? Sometimes I really don't understand
electrical circuitry when it was strung by somebody else, and I don't want to mess up here.
TIA ~ Froggie
PS It just dawned on me that the ground wire from the black box to the frame is no longer there since floor replacement, so I will take as a given that I should replace that for safety's sake.
