Cabinet Lining Ideas

I'm looking for some ideas on lining drawers with something heavier than your typical peel and stick plastic. I've removed that stuff and want to use something that is more durable.

I've thought about using vinyl or wax cloth, but not sure how to glue it down without too many bubbles or have it lift after a short time. Maybe this won't work and the old fashioned peel and stick liner or a straight coat of paint is the only way to go?

Just want something that might hold up better and give a bit of aesthetic upgrade. Suggestions welcome, thanks in advance.

We lined ours with that rubbery type of liner... found a great deal at dollar store as they were discontinuing a certain color
The stuff is easy to cut and lays down flat
I think we paid $3.00 for 6-7 rolls

We love that stuff also. It is padded and doesn't allow cans and other contents to slide around.

The rubbery shelf liner at Dollar Tree, Walmart, Dollar General, etc. I use it even at home if I need something lined and don't want stuff to slide around. You can buy any color to match your interior and it looks good. I glued it to my cabinet drop down door above the fridge in my Casita to have more counter space when eating or cooking. You can cut it into shapes to suit you. I use it under a small cabinet that sits beside the toilet so it won't slide off onto the shower floor. The uses are endless for the stuff.

I have had some luck with yoga mat material(I would not recommed repurposing a used one). Very padded and you can find some interesting colours and patterns.

gorilla (of tape fame) makes some material that's rubber and woven so there's air space between the material. the concept has been around for a while (think bars) but this stuff is sorta sticky but not adhesive, doesn't shift around and grips what's on top. you can still lift it out to clean.

This is probably the best bet. I haven't yet but will line my cabinets with it. I also put it under the dinette bench cushions and it stopped them from sliding around.
