Coleman Furnace?

I bought my Boler from someone who had done a full gut, and my interior restorations haven't included any of the original hardware or appliances. It came with this Coleman furnace, inside a (pretty rough) wooden cabinet attached to the front hitch. The pipe goes into the trailer along with a cable connected to a thermostat, and it's connected to a propane tank on the outside. I've never fired it up, because something about using a propane camping furnace from the seventies screams CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING to me. That being said, maybe it works! Maybe it's just ugly but heats like a hot damn! Who knows? Not me, and I don't need to find out. Do people seek these out? Should I be trying to pass it along to someone? Or scrapping it? I don't want anything for it, but if someone who knows what they're doing could make use of it, I'd gladly give it to them. Thoughts?.

I once sold an old Coleman furnace like that to a guy who wanted it to replace his. I cleaned it and tested it and it worked fine.

I'm sure someone would find it useful and regardless of the age, it probably does still work and is probably still safe. If someone has one that is not working, then yours might be just what they are looking for if they don't want to retrofit their camper.

These things don't get used much so it's hard to wear them out. They do age though. Yours is the standing pilot type, which is not as convenient as the Direct Spark Ignition (DSI), but like I said someone might want it. If no one here speaks up they try to post it on your local classifieds or Facebook.

We’ve got one in our 80’s Bigfoot and it’s great. Don’t toss it out, someone will want it. If you can’t get rid of it and decide to part it out please let me know! There is a part I’d love to get from you for a spare
