Converting from front dinette to bunks in Boler???

Hello, is it possible to convert a front dinette (that used to be bunks) back into bunks? Thanks

Might help if you added a picture of your front dinette

I don't have the Boler yet. I am looking at a specific unit, but would need to be able to convert it back to bunks.

The question is not whether it can be done (yes, it can), but how much work will be required (which depends on what’s there now). If all the original parts, hardware, and mounting points are gone, it will require more work.

I posted a detailed description of the Scamp bunk with photos in this thread. It will show you what parts are needed and how it works. The support posts are available from Scamp, and the rest is hardware store stuff. Boler is pretty much the same.

One key question is whether it still has the wood ledge under the front window, and if so, whether it’s solid.

Its certainly possible, but as above posts have pointed out without more info its hard to say how much work would be involved and depending on your skill set resulting cost.

Thanks for the link Jon!

The unit originally had bunks and from the pictures I can see the lip that comes out under the window. We would be able to handle a project requiring basic woodworking skills. I'm hoping to have it this week if it all works out so I'll be able to share some pictures of my own then!!
