One thought about the "Brand A" trailer pic; that is one big, heavy trailer. And I'm sure that cost was not a concern for whoever commissioned it. I realize I'm making an assumption - but I'll bet $0.02 that the work was not done by the owner. Though I agree - it is stunning.
My narrow minded opinion - I have huge admiration for the innovative restorations and mods posted on this site, like Robert Johans' TEP shop, among others. For me, the trick is to take a modest
fiberglass unit and turn it into something with a bit of class while preserving its lightweight and moderate cost (when compared to Brand A) virtues.
Because it's so darn functional, there's nothing wrong with rat fur. Having said that, I'm currently experimenting with vinyl upholstery glued over closed cell foam - an idea I've stolen from Kevin61
