DIY Air Conditioner Install...Help!!

I have been racking my brain to find a site or posting that detailed the installation of a non-roof mounted AC system in a small camper. My recollection is of the install being under a bench or bed in the RV and it was not a window mount unit either. If anyone recalls this please let me know a link or other info so I can review the products used, etc. Thanks for all the great info on this forum!!

Under bunk A/C

Hey GoGo, Thanks for taking my call. I want to install a small A/C under one of the bunks & am looking for some hints & experience. If you have any picts or sketches or other info, I'd appreciate it. Thx again. Dennis Mc.

I'm very happy with my in-closet setup. It's been working great for years.
Sorry the video isn't so great.

Depends on what you consider a "small" camper. On the Escape forum there is a detailed thread on installing a Fujitsu mini-split heat pump with the interior piece taking up most of a front overhead cabinet and the exterior heat exchanger mounted on the tongue. Extremely quiet unit, but not as cheap as a box air conditioner. If I didn't already have a roof A/C I would definitely go down this road....

We did ours in the front corner by the door using a small room ac unit. You can see our whole rebuild here with pics http://sohkraites.wordpress.com. We used boat deck hatch covers as vents and we love it.
