I bought a replacement drip cap for the door of our 1974
boler from
scamp trailers.
It's an aluminium model. It has holes so it can be rivered in place.
I'm unsure how to install it. Do I need some kind of backing tape behind it, or do I just rivet the thing right onto the
fiberglass and run a bead of sealant around the top edge?
(ALso I was surprised at how thin the metal is on this thing. We're talking coke can thin. Are the original drip caps that thin?)
