fridge vent fans

  • A while back I seen on the internet, a two fan fridge vent system the would be installed in the roof vent of the fridge. I can not seem to find an offering of this product any more. Has any one use these or know where to buy them?

I have some pictures of how I installed fans on my fridge at https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...ler-90495.html on the second page.

I have a pair of computer fans that can run on a solar panel or a storage battery. The pigtail plug hangs just outside the refrigerator vent. Good to have on hot days when the sun beats down on the Scamp.

It's probably not the exact one you're looking for, but the ARP Fridge Defend works well: https://www.arprv.com/products.php#4-arp-3.1-2-fan

Wiring setup is a lot more involved than the basic PC fan, but it doesn't require getting on the roof and it'll also prevent damage if the fridge is run off-level. I got the version with one exterior fan and two interior fans for my Bigfoot. The exterior fan made it work well in hot weather instead of falling behind above 94F ambient, and the interior fans keep the temperature a lot more uniform.

The small solar panels are sized to power the fan which is placed to pull air across the condenser. Cost about $15. Slots slide behind two of the vent screws so it's easily removed for travel.
