Yes, I felt that a table post or leg would compromise what little leg room there is. There is no leg. There is a diagonal brace that hinges up with the table. It goes from about the center of the table down to the panel towards the front of the camper. Maybe some different pictures would help?

Thanks so much, I know this will also be helpful to others looking to do this mod as well. It will be a while before I can have this done my son in law works out of town and I will be enlisting his help on this part of the project.
