Front propane/battery storage

Am not sure if it is safe to carry a propane tank next to the batteries but I sure would love some input from people on what the best way (and cheapest) to build or add a storage box or platform on the front of my Cloud. I am attaching pictures of what it looks like now.

Scamp and many other trailers are set up with the propane and battery on the tongue together so I dont think its a big safety issue.

No problem, I just did it last summer. Remove the propane straps; cut bottom bracing to fit to edges of frame, and weld on moving the tank as close to the tongue as possible ( make sure you leave room for your jack crank); make bottom bracing for your battery box, and weld on; pick a battery box you like and make a frame out of small angle iron and weld together, then screw or weld to bottom bracing; attach your battery box to it with straps or screws and voila... Done. ( except wire hook up)
