the green 'pole' is a 2x2 stainless tube square pipe that fits in the extra receiver mounted in front of my rear bumper....

the tube slides in and it looks like this....

then the second section is added to the tube....

Thanks Brandy, this 'trick' will also fit/work in any standard receicer type hitch.
