Havasu 1974 - My new Project

I started working on my Havasu and I never thought I would have so much fun doing it.
I took a few pictures. Before and after. Still ways to go but I am getting there. I have been mostly working on the inside so far. Ripped out the old vinyl floor, painted the walls, painted the wood and the drawers. Renewed the window screens and started to silicone one window so far.

It's looking good! I like how it has the windows in what would be the poptop on a Camspter. Though that section seems a bit shorter.

Do you have inside pictures of your Campster? I love pictures, to get more ideas on how to fix up my trailer.

There are a bunch around- if you search for posts by me some have pictures. But I haven't done that much inside. My interior is lined with what resembles the furry side of Velcro (loop side) in black, and I left that, as it appears to be glued down and does insulate some. I added light-colored curtains. Painted the cabinets a light beige (but may change that.) The biggest things I did was take out two drawers and install a microwave, and turn the bed sideways. I have it set up (you can see here, sort of http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ble-57306.html) as a 48 inch wide bed and then 24 inches for seating (only I have the drawers as shown on one side most of the time.) I also recently added an Allure wood-look floor (floating over the old linoleum) instead of the carpet I originally put down (too hard to keep clean.)

Very nice. I like your trailer. Looks very comfy and you used your space very efficient. Thanks for sharing your picture.

What do you mean "silicone one window so far"? You know you won't solve any leak problems by blobbing silicone on the outside... right? In fact, it may make a mess that's long term.

I have to leave, heading out for International Glamping Weekend. But, I know someone will pop in and give you good advice on how to reseal windows properly that will last for years.
