heater gasket material

I have an old Heater from 1981 and can't find the correct gaskets. Is there gasket material I can buy to make my own? Can't seem to find it on the net,,

If the flame inside is hitting the metal, and I am sure it is, at least 3-400 degrees in a more modern forced air type heater. If this is an older gravity style heater maybe higher.

I would use gasket material rated to 1K for assurance, and even then you are working with a device that could do great harm if something goes wrong, ie a gasket burns out.
