Love it, Christi! Very cute!
We want to do our Trill in a surfboard theme but I am having a hard time finding stuff that will match our avocado green interior.

As some of you may know, I owe a lot to Flo, the Watch Flamingo, who actually saved my Boler. If you-all insist, I will retell the tale.
I know that the Story of Flo has been hacked, and exists out there, somewhere, in cyber-space. What pirate needs that narrative more than us? I ask you!
What you may not not know is that said Flamingo was stolen -- right from our front porch, placed in a position of honour (one leg -- completely broken!) last winter. After all she had done for us, as a community, I feel I am now able to retrace her delicate pink-footed steps, lest her memory be forgotten.
I only ask that her brave actions not be forever lost, and this thread not killed. My community, my Chester, my Donna, my Gina, my Bob and Doug MacKenzie: only speak, and I will answer.

Hey Christi V, Do a search for jammies and see a picture (third post down or so) of the flannel pajamas of your dreams.

Well, Christi, It looks like this post is for the birds so I'll show you all my chickens.
I just finished hanging the curtains in our Little Deuce Coop and of course, it's all chickens. And with a few extras, it's turning out rather well.
Love your flamingos!

Geez Christi...if I'd only have known. I had those from Target, tried them on at home and laughed so hard I thought I better take them back. Anyway, go to eBay, type in nick and nora flamingo pajamas in the clothing catagory....there are four of them on there right now. You MUST have them.....

Slightly off topic but not too bad:
There is a worderful narrow road that goes from Ferndale, CA through Petrolia and back out to 101 near Weott. This is the "Mattole Road". It is a one to 1-1/2 lanes and in the northern 16 miles out of Ferndale, is very, very much not recommended for trailers. It's not so bad from the other end, but still very narrow in places. South of Ferndale 16 miles, the road drops down off the mountain and through Capetown, an old pioneer days stage stop, then on a ways to where it turns and parallels the ocean for 6 miles before bearing back inland. This is a rugged, beautiful country of blues and browns and greens and roaring surf.
Many years ago, somebody on a nearby ranch acquired a flamingo. A real, live, pink, flamingo. The first time I saw it, I chuckled, thinking it was just a larger member of the plastic flock we see from time to time ... then it moved! This outrageous creature, in a land where camouflage is customarily essential for survival, used to haunt the beach area between the road and the ocean. You could hardly miss it, and for several ears, you could spot it here or there at various places around the ranch.
Flamingos on lawns or guarding trailers frequently catch our eye, but few things are more incongruous than a solitary flaming pink bird wandering wild over the beach grass and sand.
