What a waste that a drawer wasnt put in here next to the silverware door.. looks simple enough to do.. so i am having a friend make the drawer and attach it to the door facing...

It just looks like the attached the piece of wood to the lip on the inside of the trailer.. then the metal track is attached to that... I have been to Home Depot, and a few places and they have no tracks like this one.. I will call Scamp and hopefully get one like it... I even went to the RV salvage yard.... nada!!!
needless to say it was a fustrating day.....

Make sure you have a latch on that or stuff will be all over the place.
Looks like a great idea, you'll find something that works.

It looks like this drawer space you're trying to create is right under the stove? Is it possible they didn't use the space because of a safety issue...like "stuff" getting to close to where it gets pretty dang hot? Could be a problem if someone decided to store hand towels or paper goods like napkins right there and then they caught fire. Or maybe the drawer or guide will interfer with the propane plumbing??

Just thinking out loud.

I have a drawer under my stove top in my Boler and looking at the 3 inches of clearance I got from the bottom of the flame and the top of the tin, which is the bottom of the stove top I have no worries. Even while heating water for coffee there was no heat transfer to inside of drawer. (placed hand inside cavity and touched the stove.)
I worry more about cupboads above even with the tin shield above.

donna.. no its not really directly under the stove... even the silverware door is more to be under most of the stove than this one will be.... now to get the track and my project will be in business.... ( I hope ) LOL
