insulation

i have a 1981 Boler 13' that is without any insulation inside. i am exploring both cork paint and ceramic paint as a way to insulate. has anyone else had any experience with either of these approaches? thank you

Interesting question. I'm sure paints have some insulating factors but I would guess it would be measured with a lot of zeros after the ".". Mass and/or an air gap gives you insulation. FG TTs for the most part are not really insulated for your comfort but more for condensation reasons. I like the idea of the paint though, sure would make a difference in my house .

In this web page you will find the necessary information to know how to do it.
In the section "Response" the same question is asked and Ian gives his solution to correct the situation.

In this page, go to the question "Elaine Law".
Ian responds and gives 2 links where to get the required material.

I checked and the links work fine.
