is one there I don't want to call the fire dept but i have another electrical problem

I was just checking camper before I go into the hospital for a week a few days ago i unplugged where it plugs into my house I didn't unplug where it plugs into the camper I just now plugged it back into the house and by the time I walked in the door smoke was pouring out of the back left corner I know there's something there down low under the seat it is unplugged it in both places now I walked in enough to open windows to get the smoke out. I think it had stopped. Therrs no propane anywhere

Do u know what caused this?

Im gonna go make sure it stopped...i dont see any smoke coming out of windows now

Ty

Unhappy

That area is where your battery is; I suspect something shorted out.

Hmmmmm Maybe mice???? But it sounds like burning insulation if there was just a lot of smoke.

If you have a American (brand) converter I would look there also. The one in our Scamp went up in a small cloud of smoke after being plugged in for the first time in several months.

Left side is water tank and pump? Shorted water pump? Possibly wet wires. Smoke alarm batteries dead?

Don't really know, just speculating here.

From the moment you unplug from the household inlet, where and how good the.."other end" be protected form rain, snow????? If it is well weather-proof protected, the cause could be from your battery shortened due to...short load(pump, light, ....). Next time, you should BOTH, unplug from the household outlet AND dis-able breaker from main circuit panel....Just my thought..

Installing a Progressive-Dynamics PD-4045 is a great upgrade as well as a permanent repair for problem. Best price for the unit is a bit less than $170.00 (or less, call and ask) at Vintage Technologies 269-665-9060, ask for Frank Bear.
