LED Fixtures for Reading ?

Well I've got all the light bulbs in my Scamp converted over to LED's , now I'd like to have a reading light over one or maybe both ends of the dinette/bed so we can read at night. Anyone done this, or maybe know where I can get a couple? I would like to have a switch on the light but if it doesn't I can work around it.

We bought a nautical map light and the corresponding LED. $$$ but it does the trick. You can see it in the picture linked below. On the left side, chrome gooseneck in appearance.

I just purchased one these LEDTrailerLights.com - 921-2, L50-0042, L50-0047 LED Interior ceiling light for RV
the second one down part number L50-0042.
I haven't installed it yet, but plan on putting it and another over the dinette. I did bench test it and it puts out a lot of light at only 0.12amps.

Lightbulb LED replacement bulbs bright enough to read by

Found in stock at San Diego Trailer Supply the place for all motorhomes and RV owners. in their store.

Revolution 150 LED - Star Lights, Inc. $17.99

Revolution 200 LED - Star Lights, Inc. $19.99

Revolution 300 - Star Lights, Inc. $19.99

I bought the 200 lumen bulbs and they are equally as bright as my CCFL's while the older LED's they replaced were much dimmer. I like that the heads swivel to point the light in the proper direction. No changing my fixtures, these replace the original 1156 bulbs and fit in the flat square fixtures!

I've got a package of these that I'm going to be trying out at the Oregon Gathering. Leave the remote by the door and turn on the lights when entering... sweet!

Wow lots of idea's here for sure, I'll have to give some more thought. Donna I like your LED's but I was trying to stay away from batteries , but they might work out fine.

MJS, My bulbs in my Scamp were 1141, so I just put in a search on Ebay and a bunch of them came up. I got mine from a seller in Hong Kong , they took about two weeks but were very inexpensive . I used two different styles, a bulb type that I put in the outside light, and a square flat type that had 36 led's on it for the inside lights. The flat type you double face tape it to your fixture and it has a wire with an 1141 socket end on it. They are very bright and I like them a lot, you can also get them at Superbrightleds.com. Look for led bulbs 1141 or 1156 will also fit.

Roy I like the look of your light but I'm thinking I just need something I can reach up and turn on/off. Byron I actually looked at that same light and may go with it. Frederick I have heard good things about these bulbs on this site, but I really needed the fixture also. MJS the bulb photo is a little different than what I have, mine has I think 36 led's and they come down the sides so that it shines out in all directions. I just wanted to get a picture of what the led bulb looked like. Thanks everyone. Tim

I want some of these Hella LED map style lights. However, I'm sure they cost about 3 times what I'd be ready to pay.

I assume it's 12 volt. Where did you buy that?

Thank you,

but its not led. It has a 1139 bulb and they are harder to find in a led that's bright. It has a switch, and it can swivel too.
