Looking to purchase a new empty Shell trailer

Has anyone purchase an empty shell and finished it yourself?
I am looking at it and gathering prices
Scamp seemed quite expensive I was looking at the 5th wheel
Shell $15,395 and the base finished model is $16,395 just a $1,000 dollars difference
I also looked at the LiL snoozy shell for $9,249 , finished base model is $21,500
$12,000 difference.
Has anyone shopped shell prices ?

Todd, just a thought...most of the FG manufacturers sell every trailer they make for delivery 6mos to year ahead...they have NO incentive to sell you a shell for cheap...just something to keep in mind...finding an older unit and revamping it may be a better way to go.........

Mike McGee who is on here has a LIL Hauley for sale. It is a Snoozy shell made for cargo. It would be easy to build an interior.

Try weiscraft, near Denver. They may supply trailers to Lightweight Trailers - Compact Travel Campers - Weiscraft Trailers

Look at this site. They show a really neet modular system.

Not sure if you meant the Tail Feather, but it has been out of production since 2015. According to the latest update on the Teal website, another company acquired the rights to the design, but failed to get enough interest and suspended production plans.

It's an interesting concept, but not molded fiberglass. Plastic and lots of seams. I don't think it's meant to be stored outside for long periods.

You might also try Relictrailers.com to see if they would sell an empty shell, as all their intiriors are custom made anyway.

You might want to look at this line. There are a couple of used one's in Tampa CL RV section. One has a bath.
