Mod completed

We finished the mod to our 13ft Scamp. We now have two 29” twin beds and an extremely versatile table that swings around and can be folded out if the way.

Previous layout?

Can I ask what was previously there where you installed the front bed? I'm thinking of ways to increase sleeping space and considering taking out the front storage and closet and putting in bunk beds.

Front bed

We had a front couch with a back cushion. We got rid of the back cushion and gained considerable room and added a few inches to the width to make a 29 in bed. It looked like it may have originally had a bunk, but, that was long gone when we bought the unit.

I did a similar table system that breaks down into two individual tables or one larger one. I used PVC and it has held up great, even with full-time use. I don't think I could make a swing out table like yours out of PVC though.....but I think I might attempt it! How stable is it with only one support? We use ours for dining and put plates of food and serving dishes on it. Is it stable enough for that?

Thanks! Good job!

It is very stable if you tighten the screw that is on the table fitting that goes over the pipe on the base. I used an old cabinet Lazy Susan fitting for the tabletop and used galvanized pipe for the support. It was a fun project and turned out better than I expected. [emoji4]
