Modifying Bigfoot Truck Camper to fit into Ford F350

Hi all,

We are trying to decide whether to buy an 1987 Bigfoot Truck Camper. I’ve learned that truck boxes have changed in dimensions and are generally about 4” narrower than in the 80s and the Bigfoot campers have to be modified slightly to bit modern boxes. I’ve done some fibreglass work on my trillium trailer (replaced belly band and just fixed the cracks). The fibreglass would need to be cutout about 2” on either side to slide into a box. Has anyone done this work? Is it reasonable for someone with a little bit of experience doing fibreglass work and a lot of enthusiasm to take on this project?

I was just about to send you to the Facebook group that I see you have already joined. Looks like you have already had responses there. You might get some here too, but if you had a Trillium, you likely know that this group is more about towables.

Welcome. We have a Bigfoot Silver Cloud.
