More changes to Escape 17B!

No good project ever stays simple. With that in mind, we have now decided to add galvanized sheet metal to the flat panels at the entry of the Escape. Jeanne called a local heater/ventilation place and ordered two sheets of 24 gauge sheet metal. We used Gorilla Glue adhesive to stick it to the walls. We'll be using magnets with hooks to hang whatever goes in that area..... I also removed the bathroom door and we're painting it with chalk board paint. Primed it this afternoon. First coat goes on tomorrow! The new backsplash (Fasade, Waves, Galvanized) is on order and should be here in a couple weeks. Photos to follow.

Good ideas, the "photo finish" surfaces of the Escape panels are quite dull and do need livening up.

While I agree, I also know that many people love the look! And the interior of the Escape really sold it for us. We saw too many trailers with really low quality finishes that just didn't do it for us. As for the laminate countertops, we've never really been fans of "formica" and when I found myself fixing it, I thought that an alternative had to be found. Of course, that involved more wood, so we had to offset that somewhere; thus, the galvanized panels and chalk paint on the bathroom door.

I'm hoping to have everything back together today. If so, I'll try to post a few more photos.
