some mods require copious foresight and some just come to you. Case in point: a friend donated these 18" commercial carpet tiles gratis and I tacked them down right over the factory stuff. I like looking at the mods that everyone has done, so many good
ideas. I did one that I don't think that anyone has done, I took out the frosted window in the door of my 17' SD and instaled a clear one. I didn't like not seeing who is at the door before I open it
especially at night, I also wired up the outside light so I can turn it on from the inside. Put up a curtain so you can have your privacy.

I was looking at the frosted glass on my TT yesterday thinking it would be nice if it were clear.

How much for the glass Jay?

Rick, the glass is tempered for safety and it cost $25.00 US and
a tube of clear sealer at $2.40 US.
It is easy job, I first took the inside trim off 16 screws and measure
the glass and had to order it ( two days ) because the glass factory is about 10 miles from my house. I went through a regular glass shop to get it. It is nice to sit at the table and look out the window and also the safety to see who may be at your door at night.

I like your new molding and carpet. From my experience, you're on target with the double stick tape (3M mirror adhesive is good), but don't give up your liquid nails (PL adhesive). When I replaced the floor and put on new molding, I used the tape to hold the molding in place while the glue set. I used the 'faux' wood molding because it seemed more flexible. It not only flowed with the curves, I am in hopes that it's flexibility will help with endurance. (I did it last summer, and so far, so good) Went over to the counter top section and got a good match for silicone/seam sealer that I used on the corners, etc. to help hide the not-quite-perfect places.

I like the wood-look trim Suz.....and the no hassle floor too. Thought about real wood but with the fudge factor involved I took the easy route and did white. Besides, I would fall in disfavor with Charles if I put wood in a fiberglass TT!!;) Actually I like the wood floors I saw in Ches' rig.........way classy. I keep thinking about solid wood cabinet doors but you'd have to do the table, bath door and partition to do it right.

Phil, the only thing that scares me about using the real wood for the molding is that it is not nearly as flexible as the stuff that I used.(Take heart, Charles, this stuff isn't real wood) I had this fear of it popping loose as I bounced down the road. As far as the color, I actually was going to use the white, but the wood trim looked better with the vinyl slate, carpet and cabinet doors. I used a moss green carpet on the elevated areas, so it just seemed to tie it together better.

This stuff is so fleixble, I was able to use the white laths to trim out the wood shelves that I made for the closet. I tried your low oven trick that you used on the PVC, but it didn't work. What I ended up doing was putting it on the straight edge then using a hair dryer to mold it into place.

Real wood doors. Yea, I know what you mean. That's a maybe someday for me, but what I have works just fine for now...;)

Thanks for all your great ideas. Even the ones that I'm not able to use, helps me figure out a slight diviation that works.
