New front and rear curtains

I finally figured out how to and got around to sewing my new front and rear curtains. There are two separate tubes across the top for the curtain rod. There is a dowel in the inside on the bottom edge. They are lined on the back with a heavy dark green fleece (this prevents light coming in or out, and also does not wick any moisture that gets on the windows). When I want them up, I just roll them and tie on the curtain rod.

This is a good idea.

I did this myself with some vinyl material.

but.... I also just did take it down. I found that the rolling up part was not as simple as it seems initially, when you actually have to reach over things and roll. It's a two hand job for sure.

I went a little more traditional as far as mechanics, but not in materials.

I'd tell ya, but it was not my idea, I stole it from Lizbeth. SHE can have the glory unvailing it!

Nice curtain idea! I am in the process of searching for material to make curtains for our first outing in our Trill (Memorial Day weekend).

Rugs from Ikea. Like these;

All the rugs (7) cost a total of 14 bucks, the hanging rings were 16. I cut off the fringe and turned the edges over to form a side hem and hung'em up. Kind of has a saddle blanket look. I also purchase a couple of a different color pattern to use on the floor. I might go back and get more for seat throws. I'm rug happy!

VERY clever. What a great idea. They look good.

I'm just doing the typical rod-pocket curtains- but I'm lining them with mylar, for UV protection...plus it fits in with my space theme!!!
