Ooooh! Very nice! What kind of wood did you use? And how do you make that area into a bed now?

The table is a 24 inch round pine blank from Home Depot. I stained it pecan. I still have the original table to use for the bed.

I started the same way, carrying the original table to set up the bedding and then I decided to make slats out of 1x4 oak boards; it takes 8 slats to fill the space and gives solid support. My wife is going to sew 2 sets of cloth sleeves to store the slats in; they will be stored under the long seat cushions.

We have a long piece of 1x4 that we use to put in at the end of the cushions. It keeps me from waking up with my hip bones pushing the cushions apart. I didn't think about using the same boards for bed support. I might try that when someone isn't around. Lol he vetoed the idea of making a two piece table that would unfold into the bed support. He didn't think it would be strong enough. I just won't tell him what I did until morning! Lol

Brandi, you and your husband have done a nice job on your camper. Looks clean and neat. I also like the slat idea from George Lauver, clever.

Very nice. My wife also likes the wooden stove and sink covers you have made. We had a local craftsman make our table out of different strips of wood. We also kept our old table to use as a bed if we need to later. Great job; something to be very proud of. Here is a picture of our table.

Ted, beautiful table.
Brandi, I like your round table and thought about two kind of hourglassed shaped pieces for the top and bottom of the round to fill in for the bed platform. couldn't weigh as much as that old table does.

Awesome looking. I second the slat idea. I remember reading about that elsewhere. Very clever.
