I did the repairs to the drawers this weekend. They had particleboard ends which is a moisture sponge. One had been replaced with a piece of baseboard trim; compressed cardboard. The 'Idjit' used 4 different kinds of screws and ringshank nails. I would have kicked his butt outta my shop for such fugly work

Part II

I used pine ripped to 4 1/2"; Titebond glue, a few 16 gage wire nails to locate, and big clamps. Then sealed all bare wood, new and old with 2 coats of Waterseal.

I wish you could lift all the saggy drawers I see on the younger crowd.

That's too funny. Yesterday, as Paul and I saw a kid run across Bay drive,(of course, 50 feet from the legal crosswalk) clutching his pants to make sure they didn't fall down and trip him, we remarked at how seldom we see this "fashion statement" these days.... Thankfully!

Nice job on the (trailer) drawers, Dave. I'm sure this will be a smooth improvement!

Pants on the Ground .... Pants on the Ground..... Look like a Fool with your Pants on the Ground.*

*I like that song

Nice Job on the Drawers

Dave: I have the same project before me to repair my Compact Juniors drawers. Can you describe the hardware you used. It looks like a centre rail with a "roller" on the centre of the drawer back. Can you show an enlarged closer picture. It looks like there are support rollers on the front of the cabinet case. Supplier? description? Length you used? I am assuming you are using the safety latches to keep the drawers from coming open in transit.

Hi Kent.

This is what I used: Slides

They are about $3 at HD, bottom shelf where the fancy slides are at. Very good instructions with them, side rollers included. They are 22 5/8" long but you cut to fit.

One caution; the measurement on the drawer under the fridge was longer than the other 2, so measure each one before cutting.
