Overhead seam on Burro

Had to rip out the old shag carpet from the seam of the Burro. The reflectix did not do so well coming off. Do I really need to replace it? We are summer only campers in Minnesota so not worried about keeping the heat from the sun out.

Mine was gone and a Walmart carpet stuck up when i got it. We just replaced it with a bamboo mat and did not add anything reflective. Camped through summer in the southwest. No leaks and heat is gonna do what it is gonna do. We are pleased

Besides thermal transmission, you might get some condensation in cooler weather. But it’s mostly about appearance, and there’s no hurry. You’ll be fine using it as is for now.

It’s summer. Go camping!

One advantage of waiting is you’ll be able to make sure there are no leaks in that seam before covering it up.

Great advice, I think we should go camping too and fix it in the fall.

Thanks for the info. What did you use for adhesive?

Automotive headliner adhesive is mentioned frequently.

Ceiling gap

I glued on yoga mats, cut to size & put moulding on sides & across seams. Looks nice
