Paint Ensolite?

I read on a post that you can paint ensolite.
And....that you can seal/repair it with siliconized acrylic caulk.

what I would like to know and see is if anyone else has actually done this and how it looks.

Do I just actually get a brush out and go at it painting the ensolite or is there something special that I need to do?

I typed it in to the search box but didn't find any threads on it.

Yes Lesa, many members have painted the ensolite. It typically starts with having the ensolite STELLAR clean, then painting (first coat) with KILZ and then painting with latex paint.

The seams can be filled with a paintable caulk and textured a bit with a damped paper towel. Since your Minit has the diamond ensolite it may take a bit of trial and error for you to find a "look" that you like, but it is doable.

This is different, but it works! http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ams-26632.html

Use your imagination!

Thanks Donna!

Great!
We are thinking that we may just paint it then.

I tell ya, we cannot find hardly ANYTHING on Minits.

Is it pronounced "minute" or "Mini-t"??

You may find when you give it a good clean you won't want to paint it.
It's a super sturdy surface and easier to give a good clean if you don't have paint on it.

Minute. At least according to Chris who I meet (with his trailer) at the Oregon Gathering a couple of years ago: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ete-26172.html

Maybe you'd prefer, gone "In-A-Split-Second"
