It doesn't look like we are going to be able to get a new Scamp next year after all. I keep telling myself I am very happy with the Aliner. But I can't keep from playing with twin bed Scamp floor plans.

If we ever do get one, this is how I will probably mod it:

So I'll just keep enjoying reading about everyone's egg adventures, and maybe I will get mine someday!

So, one person gets to sleep in front and the other in the back?

That's the plan.

I have never actually been inside a Scamp, but several people have told me that the front bed is big enough for an adult to sleep on.

The beds in our Aliner are 28" wide, and we are very comfortable on them.

Would you be interested in ordering a new Custom Deluxe Scamp with the wood interior?
I had remembered seeing one in an old "For Sale Referral" listing a long time ago. I found it while searching the "Sold Archive"!

Link to Custom Deluxe Scamp with Twin Beds

You'd pay a premium price to have Scamp build one like that, but someone else has done that.
It looks like they got a 16' Scamp with a Casita Liberty floor plan.

Frederick, I knew that Scamp would do custom floor plans, but I had no idea they would do anything that custom! Thank you so much for the link.

I have looked at the Liberty Deluxe. I really like it. It is similar to my modified Aliner plan. But since I am a bit claustrophobic, IF I ever get an egg, I would like one with windows at both ends and a side bath. It gives me a less closed in feeling. So that eliminates plans with a front bath.

And price eliminates considering an Escape.

I feel kind of like an imposter posting here since it will be a LONG time before I can actually get an egg. I am saving so I can pay cash for one someday.

Thanks for being kind to wanna-bes!

Hi Sharon,
Hopefully, it will not be a LONG time for you. http://www.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi?itm=...amp;ys=&ye=. I don't know anything about the link. It was one I stumbled upon while I was searching for a fgrv. I'm sure something will come along much sooner than expected if you can keep up an intensive search.
Good luck and welcome.

Thanks, Sandra. I do have that link in my bookmarks, along with this one: http://www.fiberglass-rv-4sale.com/

I check them often!

Right now I am working on paying off my bills. I just got Mastercard paid off. So I am working toward being in a financial position where I can buy one. It will be a while.

When I am actually in a position to buy, this board will certainly hear about it!

Just to show you how confused I am over floor plans, I am now studying the Freedom Deluxe because of the comfortable seating! Maybe a memory foam mattress would make the get-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night crawlovers more bearable by not pitching us around so badly.

Fortunately I have plenty of time to change my mind!

Thank you for inspiration! I have a Compact Jr and as I looked at your plan, I realized by moving the fridge under the sink cabinet; I would have room for a small shower/potty room!!
