Removal of the old awning

Underneath was a nice layer of caulk and moss, a plant species from Oregon I'm sure. The awning was attached by 4 bolts, 2 which we had to saw-zaw off. We're now giving the rooftop a good scrubbing, going to remove the air condition cover and give that and all vent covers a fresh coat of paint. In the meantime, we're leaning towards painting that goldish-tan color navy blue. We're gping to get some vintage awning swatches and match the navy blue exact.

Ewwwww. Poor thing, looks so nice and then a long ole dirty swatch. I'm sure you'll have it back looking spiffy in short order.

If it's a plant species from Oregon, I'm sure it's moss

Mine looked worse than that and I also had to take a Sawzall to it.
Mine had a layer of gunk built up over time that I have to think included some animal?

I used a Multi Master with Scraper blade to clean it off as I do with all FGRV with similar issues.

Oh the memories!

I was just in our local UFO store and they have a large selection of Sunbrella material in both solid ($16 /yd) and stripes. ($30 /yd)
All of the Navy Blue stripe patterns available are very attractive.
