Repairing crack above the left wheel arch

Hi guys,

Our Boler has a crack in its fiberglass and gel coat exterior shell, just above the left wheel arch.

I have read that bolers are prone to this issue.
Upon investigation, I found that the wheel arch mould was pressing against the exterior shell from inside the Boler.

I am wondering if I would be able to trim back the part of the wheel arch which is pressing on the bodywork, (see the black line drawn on the wheel arch in my pictures) to relieve the pressure and hopefully stop the issue reoccurring.
Should I, shouldn't I, any info or tips at all would be greatly appreciated!!

Niall

Yes you could do that. I would first determine the root cause. Why is the wheel arch pressing on the body? Is the frame flat and level? Is the floor that the wheel well is resting on level? Is the wheel well securely attached to the floor?
