replacing Casita bathroom sink

The existing sink in the bathroom in my 2000 Casita 17 SD is in poor shape. Sometime in the past, it was broken and sort of repaired. It is really ugly. I need a replacement but can't find any replacement that size or design, any ideas for replacement would be appreciated.

My first response would be to contact Casita and see if they have them in stock.

as the sink is the same sort of fiberglass as the rest of the casita bath shell, its quite possible that Casita makes them.

OF that vintage Casita, the sink was a type of plastic. Kinda like the bath sink in an Escape, except a different shape.

A photo of the existing sink in its installed location would certainly help.

Casita no longer carries those triangle corner sinks anymore. They changed the entire bathroom sink configuration in 2013 to a whole different sink/cabinet set-up.
I changed mine out last year, which was developing cracks, with a stainless steel hand sink made by Krowne, (link below.) All steel and no plastic. I installed a piece of 1X4 oak board inside the closet as a backing for it, and I can use it to grab onto and lift my 260 Lb. carcass up while pulling on it for support. Kind of a makeshift ADA grab bar in addition to a nice sink with swivel gooseneck faucet. While I was at it I added a recessed stainless steel 4" deep shelf with a recessed quick release shower mixing valve I installed inside it, above the sink, (I'm 6'2" and 260 Lbs, and I hate going into the small bathroom and jamming something hanging on the wall into my back while I'm in there.) And this allowed me to split the shower off the sink with totally independent controls.
I also got rid of the "P" trap under the sink and installed a HepVo duck bill bladder one-way drain valve inside the closet in the sink's drain line. (Pic. #5 below.)

No, Casita used to buy them from an outside vendor. Casita never made them.

Thank Lee. I like it much better than the old plastic corner sink.

That sink is one of the best Casita mods I've seen!

That's what happens when you retire and have too much time on your hands.

But thanks for the kudos.

I had to replace my sink a couple years ago in my Casita. I bought mine from Scamp. Just checked, and they still have them. The unfortunate news is that they want $85 for that flimsy piece of plastic.

Thanks for the input, all of you. I actually got a reply from Casita when I sent them a request for a replacement. Victor sent me an unreadable list of items they do sell and a brochure for a new Casita. He never acknowledged my question. Kind of insulting.

I like the stainless steel unit and the separate controls for the shower. I have searching the internet but never saw anything close to that one. I bet is cost a bit.

Well, I won't say it was a cheap project, but then stainless steel vs cheap plastic is hardly a valid comparison. Like the old saying goes "You get what you pay for." Buy quality stuff and you'll only cry once, buy junk and you'll cry forever.
Anyway here's a list of all the component sources for the stuff that I bought and installed for this bathroom remodel project if you are interested.

And the bathroom mod players are:

We opted to replace our corner sink with a stainless bowl and a deck made out of King starboard.

Here's our solution: https://photos.app.goo.gl/pAvoZyPQiWdutRc16

It appears that the sinks are riveted into the trailer body. Can't find the rivets on the outside of the trailer. Are they in the belly band somehow? We have a crack in our sink and need to replace it also. If the rivets are in the belly band how do we fix the holes. I'd like to do the same thing you did with putting a 2X4 inside the closet to hold the sink. I'm not as good as you with repairs and need some guidance on how to get the old one out and the new one in. I would even be happy with a simple metal sink with the shower still on the faucet. Thanks in advance.
