Hi all.
I'm planning to replace the musty, moldy old deep-pile carpet that covered most of the ceiling and walls in my
fiberglass Cabana trailer. Most of the old carpeting is out but there are remnants of the pad, glue, etc. still present on the rough
fiberglass interior. I also have to temporarily remove the window frames, cabinets, etc. to remove some more carpet pieces.
My questions are: Is there a safe substance for removing the old glue, backing, etc. but that won't harm the
fiberglass?
What would anyone recommend to replace the carpet? Money is a concern. How about automotive carpeting since it doesn't have a backing?
What would be some adhesive choices for the new covering?
Thanks.
