replacing old vent in 13 77 trillium

Our vent is leaking and needs to be replaced. The size does not not appear to be available. A fan is not necessary just a new vent. What have others done to replace. The Trillium does not have roof support as some other eggs do.

What size do you need? This is a replacement for the older smaller Scamps.

Vent

Hi,

That is the one I replaced the old with in my '78 1300.
However, I had to put in a 3/4 inch spacer to have enough
headroom to clear the knob/crank when standing at the cooktop.

replacing old vent in 1377 trillium

Hi I used the same vent on my 1976 Trillium It fit without any modification to the opening but I did use epoxy to fill any existing holes as they do not line up with the new vent flange holes. Be sure to place the hinge side to the front of your opening. If you place it backwards the wind will catch it if you leave it open by accident while traveling on the roads. I am 6' tall and I have no issues with the crank at all. Good luck ,Duane

I was able to refurbish our metal roof vent in our 77 Trillium with new seals. I used a roll of foam truck cap tape on the base and lid. Then polished the whole thing. Much more durable than a new plastic one. It was installed on a bed on butyl tape, riveted in place and then a bead of self levelling dicor on the rivets

I replaced mine with a larger vent.

On the roof I added some wood blocking, with epoxy, matte and cloth, to make a raised area. Kind of like the way a skylight is on the roof of a house.

I wanted to do it this way so that there is no chance of water/snow pooling around the vent while open.

I have a 13 ft boler and replaced the small vent with a 14 inch. It sure helps with ventilation
