reworking storage with tupperware....

in my B17CB I had taken out the centre panel of the rear overhead storage compartment so I could roll up all the bedding and store it up there during the day (sleeping in line with trailer, bed six feet wide...long story)

now that I am going to be camping solo and going back to using the rear bed as intended I need considerably less space to store the bedding...so I decided to rework the space and convert it to the coach pantry....the bedding will now be stored in the upper cabinet above the closet (it's fully enclosed with a bulkhead, the far end of it being difficult to access anyway so perfect for bedding)

three tupperware type bins were chosen because they completely fill the "window"...the middle one is opaque/blue because it will be visible with the doors are closed....on one side a few containers (for leftovers?) will be take up the space to the bulkhead...on the other side (no bulkhead there) a white tub sized just right will be trapped in there and will be "longer term" food storage...

there is less than an inch of movement sideways...the opaque/blue tub is about 4 inches wider that the opening so when the doors are closed it is secure in its location

the whole thing should hold a lot, be easier/quicker to get to and be well ventilated

funny thing, when it was all done I noticed that up front on the left side there is also a bulkheaded, fully enclosed compartment of the same size just like in the rear of the trailer....makes me wonder it those were not meant to hold bedding right from the get go when somebody imagined/designed this model...given that there is a bed at either end

cheers, F

It looks great. If I may ask how wide is the couch before it is pulled out?

Badger...

not quite sure what you're asking.....the rear sofa is as follows: seat cushion is 72" by 24" ....the seat back is 72" by 17" (bed deployed is therefore 72" long by 41" wide)

front bed (dinette conversion) is the same 41" wide...but six inches longer at 78"

hope it answers your question

Sorry, I phrased that badly but you answered my question well. Thanks.
