Finally posting a mod I did in 04.
The pics pretty much tell it all.
To stop the wind from spoiling the shade
1) ensure the top hinge cannot come out
with the awning up, I just bent it closed a little.
and2) the rod must create a U shape around the
awning at the clamp.

Fred, did you make the awning supports or did you purchase them?

I'm really just bumping up this thread.
The reason is, Boreggo Dave stopped by for a visit yesterday and said he liked the simplicity of the setup and thought I should post it.
Told him I had pics and all so he said to bump it up that new people might use it.
