Scamp Fiamma mounts

Our old Dometic awning on our 13’ Scamp was destroyed by a severe wind event. I have just received a new 8’ Fiamma awning from Scamp that came with some white metal mounts. No instructions on how to mount them, and I don’t have a clue. Hoping someone has a photo the that shows how they are installed.

I added an antenna mount to mine but you can see how the original mount looks also.

And bolt then on! Do not copy Casita and use big pop rivets as any slight wind will pull it off!
I used some pieces off vinyl planks to carve to match the curve of the trailer shell and mounted the bottom clips that help secure the poles.

This is what Scamp sent. No information on how to use them.

I used the awning and brackets to also hold the solar panels on my 16' Scamp and I am posting two pictures that if you blow them up you can see how the brackets are mounted.
1. Temporarily bolt the two braces to the main piece.

2. find the spot on the curve that allows the main piece to be vertical when the brace feet are flat on the roof.

3. Temporarily mark these positions and check for what is inside of the trailer where the bolts will come through.

4. Find these spots that will align the awning with the trailer.

5. after you have met these alignment criterion you could temporarily assemble the awning to the bracket and check the fit.

With this and other reasons (like the Awning was mounted by Scamp for the sale price and they did it and some other work in one day in Bakus. Since we were fairly close at the time we had them install the awning for us.

Perhaps you can get a better idea of how it is mounted with these pictures.
Mine is a 12' mounted on a 16' Scamp and it extends further forward than yours might.
I believe that the two fasteners in the centerline of the awning bracket hold the awning to the bracket and the heads of the top bolts fit in the channel and not through the awning. It is a little cold and raining now so I haven't rolled the awning out to take pictures of the inside of the mounting.
My bolts ended up in my front closet by the door and in the cabinets I installed along the ceiling and are not visible with the doors closed. If visible you could trim the bolts to a length that acorn nuts could be used to finish.
You could use a 2x4 to aid in alignment and fitting.
By the way the roof is due for a through cleaning. The stuff builds up here in North Florida while you watch.

Glad you got it installed.
While I have enjoyed having the awning we find that travelling we don't use it as much as we thought we would, but it is nice to have it available if we decide to roll it out.
