Scamp sink faucet - no clearance

Hi, I'm loving the Scamp but I've got an issue with the Scamp 13' 2005 sink faucet. I've got the cold water only, single handle non-deluxe version. There is very little clearance between the edge of the sink and the stream of water that comes out, and when I have just a little bit of water running (i.e. conserving water) it just dribbles down the inside wall of the sink. What I need is room to fit a bigger pot underneath the faucet, and I'd like to be able to adjust the neck i.e. swivel it to get it out of the way more. Anyone done a mod like that, or seen any products like that? Would I have a problem using a kitchen sink unit because of only having one cold water stream to hook up to it?

Here's what I did.

You'll see the hand pump for the fresh water tank on the left and the city water faucet on the right. I purchased the city water faucet at West Marine. It's obviously a high rise spout single faucet and it swivels. I love it.

Joy, Is it the pump faucet that swivels? It looks like the city water faucet folds ?

Well, I said the city water on the right swivels. By swivelling, I actually meant tilts forward and backward or you might say up and down.

The manual "Rocket" pump on the left will swivel, that would be left to right. You'll note I mounted it as a left-handed pump. So, to lock the prime I pull the handle forward rather than push backward.

Hi Joy, did you get the Shurflo brand or the Scandvik? Any trouble installing it?

It's a Shurflo in the Trinidad series, from West Marine. The single folding faucet.

My pamphlet lists it as 133-0208-CP Trinidad Folding Tap Chrome.

Yes, easy to install. Just disconnect the original city faucet. Unscrew the water line, then unscrew the set nut on the underside of the sink and lift out the faucet. Simply do the reverse to install the new faucet.

Simple pie.

Thanks Joy, both are nice looking faucets. I've been looking to replace mine and think that the folding faucet will probably do the trick.

Faucet arrived really fast from West Marine, installed easily for my DH, and I used it last weekend. Love it, it's perfect! Thank you again!
