This is an old thread, but on the chance that you can still see this message, how did you decide on an 80A CB for the battery (+) line and a 60A CB for the charge controller (+) line?

Fantastic write up and project results, by the way. Kudos. Are you still using your Scamp with this same setup?

Circuit breakers are usually sized to be 1.2 or 1.25 times the the expected load and rating of wire they are protecting. So if you are using 6 AWG wire for a 60A load you might use a 75 amp breaker.
