Scamp stove cover

I have a 2017 Scamp 16 with a 2 burner Suburban stove. This is the same stove I had in the Little Guy Silver Shadow teardrop I just sold. A long time ago, we removed the stove from the teardrop but I held onto it until the sale. I liberated the stainless steel hinged cover/windscreen that it came with in hopes of using it on the Scamp. It appears to be the same cover that Scamp sells in their store. However, it looks like the window crank/knob will interfere with the side wall of the cover. Has anyone here installed one? And had that issue? Is there a small knob hack that will solve my problem? The Scamp did come with the factory wood cover, but I'm not a fan of how it looks or how it's made.
